Black and White Plates from Broste Copenhagen

esrum range by broste copenhagen

I am not, on the whole, a patterned plate kind of person (not averse to a little alliteration however). It’s all a bit too afternoon tea and cake for my liking and my preference is for plain white plates. It’s the same with the bedding but that’s another story. Anyway, I could throw all my principles up in the air for this.

Mind you, it’s barely patterned. Two colours, I’m not even sure you’d classify it as a stripe and opinion seems to vary as to what colour it even it. Variously described as taupe and chocolate it looks a definite shade of navy blue when you style it as in the above image.

Perhaps that’s what I like. It would clearly go with everything. It’s the Esrum range by Broste Copenhagen and you can buy it (starting from £7.80 for a side plate) from Atelier Home and Garden.

It’s a good looking set isn’t it? Now I need to have a little Greek dinner party and I will be needing some more crockery…
