Finally, dare we to hope that summer is on its way? Apparently we can’t officially call it summer yet as the bluebells are still out and they are the quintessential spring flower. But, technicalities aside, the sun is out, I can smell the neighbouring barbecues as I type and I have (steady) put my sandals on.

And then I start looking at the garden. Which, don’t get me wrong, is lovely. But we haven’t got the right furniture. Yet. I am postponing operation fantasy loft for operation fantasy garden. I have always loved the idea of an outdoor sitting room. One day I will have an outdoor (weatherproof) sofa and armchairs. I like the idea of a rug on the deck. I once saw a wonderful wooden bookshelf filled with plant pots instead of books and I love those outdoor standard lamps that you can buy (at a price). But today I wanted to show you these gorgeous velvet cushions, which are perfect for indoors and out.

First of all they measure 50cm by 50cm which is bigger than standard and come in these gorgeous colours. They cost £25 each which isn’t bad, particularly when you consider the work involved with the buttoning.

these velvet cushions come in golden olive, atlantic, ice grey and vintage mauve

There are also some matching cushion covers (40cm by 30cm) if you want to really create a luxurious feel. Race you to the deck. Last one out brings the Prosecco.
