Chalkboard Globe

chalkboard globe

I have always loved a globe. All globes. I searched for years for an old globe with a light in but only found horrid modern ones. I love the idea of a drinks cabinet fashioned from a globe. Not even ironically either.

And then I found this. And I think it might be the perfect globe of them all. It’s a chalkboard globe. With a brass stand. And I just love the idea that you can write on it the next place you are going. Or planning to go. What could be nicer or more uplifting in January than to park this in the kitchen, or near the bed with a destination written on it.

Something to keep you going through the long dark days of January and February. Something to save up for or to know that it’s coming because you’ve already bought the tickets. And it’s only £28 for the small one which measures 20cm. The bigger one (35cm) appears to have sold out sadly but that’s what you get at sale time. I’m off to add this one to my cart. It’s from, whisper it, anthropologie but it might well be the cheapest thing in there. And that doesn’t mean I approve of the dip-dyed log for £228 either.
What will you write on yours?
