Champagne Glasses

Ready then? It’s reached that stage of the proceedings where every other sentence seems to be punctuated by: “Oh well I don’t mind if I do. It’s Christmas after all….” So with that in mind, Christmas gift guides done (I can’t help it if you haven’t read them) decluttering and storage discussed, all that’s left is to have a drink. So with that in mind here are some of the best champagne flutes/coupes/glasses around at the moment. Bottoms up.

Now I don’t actually drink champagne. It’s too, er, brut for me. I’m a cheap date and would much rather have a glass of Cava or Prosecco but if chilled and cheap works for me in the glass I still like it to be served in a a good one.

And I’d rather have a saucer than a flute. I know that that narrow surface area means it stays fizzy for longer but I don’t care. We seem to have( in?)advertently smashed all our flutes so we need to buy new glasses. Here are four of my favourites.

Now the blog isn’t disappearing completely as I have made a couple of Christmas cards for you but it will be back on 27th with a nice long read – you’ll have had enough of chocolates and family telly by then, followed by DA DA DAAAA the book cover reveal on 28th – get yer orders in….

So if I don’t see you over the next few days. Pour another glass of fizz and have a lovely few days.

  1. Am a coupe lover too: still sad about buying some beautiful art deco ones in an antique store in Texas and then FORGETTING them -under the sink- months later when we came home! You are more than welcome to drop in anytime and have a glass or three of cava on our terrace if you ever happen to be down this way!

Have a great Christmas Kate and readers! See you all back here, after the bells.
