Corian Basins

If you’re looking for a new basin then how about one of these. I first saw the one above when a twitter friend who is an interior designer showed it to me. She said she was installing it in a client’s house and I was rather vexed when I saw it as we already have our basin for the loft.

They’re all from Corian®  ready made range and have been wrapped and mounted in different ways to show just how many different ways they can be styled. There are 40 models to choose from – 20 bathroom and 20 kitchen.

The top one, my favourite, is the Energy basin encased in a shell made from Corian Deep Titanium and fitted with traditional utilitarian taps. The one above is a Refresh basin set into the industrial grey Deep Cloud shade.

Prices start at £250 for the basins, which come in four standard colours. The setting will cost you another £450 but you’ll use a basin more than the bath so perhaps it’s worth reconsidering which bit of sanitaryware you’re going to splurge on.

  1. These are beautiful! I would like to purchase the sink in the second picture but it is not available in US yet! Do you have a contact that I could purchase from in the UK and have shipped? Thanks for your help. I love reading your blog!

  2. Beautiful. I particularly like the traditional looking ones (photo’s 1 &4).

We have two corian basins in our ensuite. When we put them in, it was the only way we could get a seamless basin/ counter combo, although I know there are now a few options. I’ve never regretted it as they look as good today as when they were fitted nearly 8 years ago. I wanted seamless as we live in Sydney, which is humid and mould prone. Of course it didn’t occur to me that the pop up plugs would not be seamless so the mould still tries to get a hold there but overall they have been a great success.
