Feather Light

Feathers Light Black Mineheart lifestyle low res

This is one of those “if I had a boudoir moments” because if I did I would surely have this light in it. Isn’t it a fabulous thing? It looks like a party skirt – in fact I’m sure I saw one similar on Net a Porter a few weeks ago. With a light like this in your bedroom, I’m sure it would help getting dressed and ready for work on Monday mornings. And, come the weekend when it’s time to go out, who wouldn’t feel a little more in the mood with this lighting the way?

That aside it’s ticking three of my design rules: metallic, black and fun. It probably won’t surprise you to know that it’s from Mineheart, the self-styled home of eccentric British design and forms part of their new collection. Of course you don’t have to hide it away in a boudoir (although sometimes it’s cool to have a little secret that not everyone gets to know about), you could, of course, put this in a sitting room where it would bring a touch of luxe to the proceedings. It comes in white too, by the way, but the black is the one for me.

I’m off to meet a new client – I hope she has a dressing room that needs styling because we all know what’s going on the list for that room.

Drop in tomorrow for the rules of rug layout.

  1. How decadent are these wonderful black feather shades with a contemporary twist. They certainly tickle my fancy. I will be spending idle time dreaming of a new scheme where they will fit in just nicely

  2. That’s a show stopper. I love it when fashion turns up in home interiors. Off to look at their website.
