Five Bulb Pendant Lamp

It is a truth widely accepted in journalistic circles that two is a coincidence and three is a trend. So I shall have to say that as two of my clients have expressed an interest in these lights then I can’t, yet, tell you that it’s a burgeoning trend.

I have to admit that it’s not the sort of thing I would have previously considered as I think they are often too dominating and too heavy but this one from Rowen and Wren feels much lighter and delicate.

It also, which was crucial to one client, requires only one electrical port so you don’t have to worry about getting the electrician in to create extra fittings. Yes it’s expensive at £492, but it’s a bit of a showstopper and, believe me, in hunting for this one, I found plenty of others that were a lot more pricey.

So, is it coming soon to a dining table near you? Are we calling it a trend? This is the first time I saw something similar – in this Architectural Digest picture of the home of Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi’s Beverley Hills home. Although I think this is perhaps for storage rather than lighting.

  1. Love the light, although all I can think when I look at Ellen and Portia’s kitchen is how many times I would bang my tall head on those sharp edges. It’s pretty though!
