Good Morning and may I introduce you all to The Future Kept, a rather lovely website full of beautiful and useful things for the home. And for you, as some of these images show.
Created by Jeska and Dean Hearne (Jeska also runs the award-winning Lobster and Swan blog) who have backgrounds in interior styling and graphic and product design, the site is full of functional pieces that look gorgeous and are made by independent designers with care for the environment.
Pictured here are a selection of my favourites. I’m particularly keen on the tea towels and God knows I’m not one for drying up but they would look great just hanging on the kitchen wall.
They’re by Amelie Mancini, who has also made the bags and pouches you can see on this post. I also love the Uashmama bag in the top picture. I came across these a couple of years ago and couldn’t find a UK stockist so I’m thrilled that Dean and Jeska have them.
They’re made from a cellulose material that is as tough as leather but also washable and holds its form. You can use them as bags, plant pots, laundry sacks – whatever you want – and they also come in a choice of colours including grey and olive.
Race you to the checkout.
What a fabulous store!
Gorgeous pieces – trying to imagine you drying up after actually washing up….no….no I can’t see it 😉
Lovely post Kate – these are all on my wishlist 🙂
