Feeling the need for some escapism this week, The Househunter has landed on the exotic island of Mustique and may never leave. It’s on the market for an undisclosed price via Knight Frank .

There’s a swimming pool (obvs) as well as this private beach, a coconut grove and a fresh water rock pool. I’m practically speechless at this point.

Inside it’s all understated neutrals and shades of white and layers of different textures. I could very happily spend the winter here, what about you?

But, on the off chance that you haven’t got a squillion pounds stashed under the mattress, or that you have a job to go to or even must just get to Sainsbury’s and haven’t got time to be jetting off to Mustique at the drop of a hat (probably massively inconvenient when you get down to it) what about this rather lovely apartment in Southwark, south London?

sitting room

The majority of the space is taken up by a huge open plan double-height room with a largely glazed roof. The architect Renato Lusardi has kept the original industrial character of the building.

open plan living

It’s for sale for £1,695,000 via The Modern House. There is only one bedroom suite but the whole place is nearly 2,000 sq foot so you there’s definitely room to create a couple more if you wanted to.

It also has a roof terrace which is a bit of a bonus. I’m throwing down a few rugs, losing the garden furniture for something white, linen and squishy and I’m all set.

Finally, never mind the beach. If I had this view from my balcony I would be very happy indeed.

view of tower bridge

This is my favourite bridge of them all. This warehouse conversion is on the market through Chestertons for £3,250,000 and this week, this is the one I want.

There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and that huge open plan living space.

Nice innit? If I’m going to be picky, and yes I am, then I might change the kitchen for something whiter and more industrial. And I would paint the exposed bricks or possibly add a little concrete here and there.

But with my fantasy three million quid in my fantasy bank account, this week, this one gets my vote.

What about you?
