It’s September and that can only mean one thing (well in the Mad House it can) and that’s the London Design Festival. This year it’s running from 13 – 21 September and in honour of that I have created a Made in the UK department in my Great.ly store.
In addition, those very kind people who run the site have said that for the whole of the week (starting today 10 September) till next Wednesday they will offer free shipping on anything that is bought from my shop from that collection.
It’s a great offer as there are a couple of pieces of furniture on there and it would be great not to have to pay the shipping on those wouldn’t it!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Great.ly concept, the idea is that a panel of people – the so-called Tastemakers – bring together the products they like from the Makers and create their own individual shops. That way you – the Shopper – can check out the boutiques of the bloggers, writers and stylists whose tastes they already chime with and, hopefully, find things you want to buy.
The makers get 60 per cent of the retail price, the tastemakers 25 per cent and Great.ly 15 per cent. It’s an idea that is simple and deserves to do well.
I really hope you like this collection. It’s British, it’s quirky and some of the products – the Out of the Dark furniture and the West Egg coffee table are exclusive to my store. The gold and wood chopping boards came about as a result of a previous post I wrote about the gold glue and I was thrilled to have them as the first ever product I stocked.
If you want to see the other collections from makers all over the world then you can visit my shop here but otherwise do have a browse round and, as Kate Moss would say, Get The London Look.
