Mad About … Quiet Spaces

Today, we are mostly Mad About Quiet Spaces. Summer is drawing to a close and it’s a good time to just take stock and get ready for the new season.

Wouldn’t this be a lovely calm place to sit with a cup of coffee and nothing more technologically advanced than a notebook – the sort that fits so well with a pen.

I can’t quite imagine anything as messy as cooking going on in here, but it would be lovely to sit and sip a glass of wine and talk about the day

  1. They’re all beautiful spaces. I’m taken by the sunlight streaming into the office room, so that seems like a tempting place to relax and unwind for a spot of creative thinking. The bathroom scene is stunning but the bath needs to turn 45 degrees so I’ll give that a miss. For me the tops is the bedroom; clearly the most comfortable and I love to have an open door in the bedroom, to be closer to nature, weather permitting.

  2. Sometimes there’s nothing better than getting creative with a notebook and pencil. The window seat would be perfect for that. But the bathroom looks like the perfect place to relax and dream. And those plants would make a room feel like summer – even on a cold day!

  3. Dear Kate. I really like the one with the big plants, but I would probably be tempted to take the pots off the table and replace it with lots of food and wine. AND bring a few more chairs in. So it might turn into a convivial, noisy space. But, nothing wrong with a double whammy is there?! x
