There’s nothing like a little browse round the shops. Especially when it’s raining outside and you can do it from the comfort of your own sofa. With a cup of coffee. And a biscuit. Today we are going to wander round the new collection of Living by Christiane Lemieux at House of Fraser.

In the US, it’s part of the Dwell Studio range but it goes by a different name here. The collection first arrived last year and has been a great success, and the lookbook for the new pieces, which should be in store at the end of February, arrived the other day.

Now, I know I said a few days ago that I had found my dream sofa but it turns out I hadn’t really. Because actually it’s this one. The George three-seater sofa costs £1,999 and I think this may be the one. I have never considered a leather sofa before but there is something about the slightly distressed nature of this one that is drawing me in.

Anyway, you can see from the images the sort of vibe that Lemieux has created with her pieces and I like it all. She founded the US store in 2000 initially just designing bedding and textiles and it has expanded from there. Now there’s everything from vases and tables to sofas and beds. And, I have to say, with the kind of elastic budget and stretchy house that I dream of, I could drop quite a large amount of money on Ms Lemieux’s designs.
