Objects of Design #108: Magazine Rack from Merci

I’ll admit it, I buy far too many magazines. It’s research. Honest. And the question remains what to do with them all? There’s only so many you can put on the coffee table. And in a pile under the coffee table. And pretending to be the coffee table.

The answer, probably, is a magazine rack. But so many of them are ugly and just take up even more floor space. So the answer to the first question is this – from that bastion of French chic, Merci. And, as you can see, it also answers the second question because you can put it either on the floor or on the wall. Perfect.

The final question is where to put it? In the kitchen in French bistro-style fashion? In the bathroom for lazy weekend spa time? Probably not in the sitting room I think.

And, the final piece of good news – well probably not good for your bank manager – is that you can now shop online, which does at least save you the Eurostar fare and therefore makes everything a bargain when you look at it that way.
