There’s a definite fairy tale theme to this series of Objects of Design, but why not indulge it when they’re children. This wooden shelf, which also comes in white, is part of the new children’s collection at Rowen and Wren.

I’ve been a fan of this store for ages. The collection is beautifully curated and photographed and they have made regular appearances on the blog, so I was thrilled to spot that they have added children to their store.

The collection includes gorgeous wooden toys, some furniture and other accessories.

One of my favourite pieces (admittedly the most expensive) is this Marli magnetic clock, but it doesn’t have to go in the playroom and would join in quite happily in other rooms too. Once they’ve finished playing with the wooden pieces, it doubles up as a noticeboard.  You can also move the clock as it is also magnetic.

So thank you Rowen and Wren for giving us Little Rowen and Little Wren. Your children’s bedrooms can be just as well accessorised as the rest of the house.
