This rather beautiful pendant needn’t just be restricted to kids’ bedrooms but if they’ve grown out of their previous, more childish decor, then this will provide a sharp contrast. The red flex adds a funky touch and the fact that it gives off light in all directions should provide a good strong glow for homework and prevent eyestrain (assuming you put in a decent bulb that is).
