It’s a truth universally acknowledged that a teenage girl in a possession of a new outfit must be in want of a mirror. The bigger the better. But it’s not all about vanity, drape this with fairy lights and it will look pretty but it will also bounce the light around, which, if she’s a fan of dim table lights, will help protect the eyes from strain too.

I’m so glad you like the things you are finding on the site. I completely understand your frustration about delivery charge so I have forwarded your comment to Made.com – let’s see what they say.
Thanks, Kate, yes, it will be interesting to see what they say.
Yes, love the mirror, I have been looking for something like this for a while.
Like the style, the price is good considering that I haunt ebay on a daily basis.
In fact, I loved it so much that I immediately went to the website and considered ordering three and then I noticed the delivery charge of £44.90. So I clicked on three thinking that this charge would come down. No,the delivery charge for three is 3 x £44.90.
So I didn’t order. I get so fed up with huge delivery charges tacked on to items. I am a small artisan cheese maker and I have to arrange delivery of cheese, sometimes pallets, sometimes large boxes, so I do know about transport and delivery charges and I know they have gone up because of the cost of fuel etc etc etc but I also know that this is a little much. Not your fault, just a observation.
By the way, really liked the coat hooks you wrote about the other day and I did order those, cost £35, delivery £5.95.
Hi Iona,
I have just had this reply from the Made.com team:
“Hi Iona!
Because the Mirror is large and also fragile, we use a 2 man courier service who charge delivery per item. We understand that this is not ideal but can assure you that we are working with our delivery partners to find a solution.
Thanks!”
Fingers crossed for a solution then.
