I have resisted these elegant floor lamps for a long time, mainly because I will never be able to afford the original design classic by Castiglioni and decided, in a slightly foot-stamping, arm-folding, huffing way, that if I can’t have that one I don’t want any of them.
But I’ve come round. Partly for financial reasons and partly because this, while obviously inspired by the original, is a pretty nice piece in its own right. And they do look rather graceful arching over the back of a sofa or table.
It’s £99 and stands just under two metres tall. The shade, should you need to know, is 35cm wide.
Looks like a bargain to me, always fancied one too and know what you mean about the ‘real thing’. Great find.
