Objects Of Design #263: Vintage Gramophone Horn Pendant

made from old gramophone horns

I’m not sure when recycling becomes upcycling but perhaps it is with these beautiful pendants made from vintage gramophone horns. They date from the 1920s and  are ready to be installed by an electrician. Each one has been fitted with a new brass bayonet bulb holder and they are supplied with brass ceiling hook and brass or bronze chain.

Obviously some might have a little rust but that’s part of the vintage appeal. They have been sprayed so they won’t get any more rust and that also enriches the lustre of the colour.
