Objects of Design #271: Enamel Mugs

Enamel kitchenware is having something of a moment and I love the retro black and white designs on these two mugs, which are just the right size for a cup of coffee.

Then I saw this glass, which is also rather cute and costs only £3.50. And from there it was only a click away from these wine glasses. I can’t be doing with delicate crystal wine glasses with long thin stems. They break too easily. I like something a little more robust. Like my wine in fact.

I have already been contemplating the “accidental” destruction of all the mugs so that I can replace with these which I featured last week. But it looks like more drastic action is called for as it looks like I may need to replace all the glasses as well.

On the upside the enamel mugs won’t break so they are probably an extremely sensible buy. Especially in a household as clumsy as this one.
