Objects Of Design #293: Vita Eos Feather Light

the Eos feather lamp has individually applied feathers

The thing about Christmas and the inevitable influx of guests is that it forces you to take a look around and see if anything needs fixing. Now, obviously I can’t speak for all, but I definitely need a new pendant light in the spare room and this fits the bill perfectly. It would fit the bill in pretty much any room in the house to be honest. Made from individually applied feathers, the bulb is hidden so it gives a lovely warm glow. There’s a mini one too, which looks great hung in a group of three.

See how pretty it is when it’s lit? And for cleaning it – a good tip – use a hairdryer.

  1. hi Kate. what do you think about polished concrete flooring? i am struggling with a funky idea for my (small) kitchen floor and was interested to know if concrete is something you had come across – it sounds like it could be an inexpensive option (we are totally refurbing this money pit and there was only a certain amount i could put on that xmas list) appreciate any advice as always my lovely. love the blog- you work so hard x Sam x

    1. Morning! Great idea. I love polished concrete floors. I have a friend who has one and I always admire it when I go round there. The concrete is cheap, the polishing can increase the cost. I shall investigate fully for you and post in early January if that’s all right.
