Objects Of Design #318: Steel Glass Cabinet

It never ceases to amaze me how much rubbish seems to accumulate in a bathroom. From ends of shampoo bottles and moisturisers to perfumes I’m never going to wear, or have kept because the bottle was so pretty, there’s stuff stacking up on every surface. And it mostly just needs dusting.

That’s why I’m grateful when my mother-in-law comes to stay as we tend to let her, and my father -in-law, have our bedroom and we decamp to the spareroom/study/kids hangout room. Which means I’m forced to examine the contents of the en suite bathroom with an objective eye and have a bit of clear out.

Which is where this rather lovely cabinet comes in. Industrial, stylish, with a door to prevent dust and a glass front so that you can’t just shove everything in and forget about it, which, turn, allows for a certain amount of hoarding mixed with a dash of discipline.

Domestic Detox – easy when you know how.
