Objects of Design #86: Weatherproof Sunlounger

Doesn’t this look inviting? The reality is that most of us won’t be lounging on a sun-kissed beach this weekend so this is a more realistic but still quite good alternative. I could spend a very happy afternoon here with a book and a couple of magazines. There’s even a bottle of something in the ice bucket.

It’s made from synthetic rattan, which does make it more weatherproof and if there’s one thing we’ve learnt about the UK weather, which is basically in recession if you ask me, it’s that our garden furniture needs to be weatherproof.

The set also includes the cushion which is filled a special foam so that water flows through, while the Dacron material ensures that they retain their shape. The cushions are also guaranteed UV – resistant and fungus-free. The table is included too.
