Reversible White and Grey Coverlet

white and grey coverlet anthropologie

Now I love Anthropologie I really do. I don’t own any of it because it’s so expensive but I regularly look at their pages, browse through their catalogue and dream. Then, occasionally I am brought up short by something that is so utterly ridiculous when it comes to price tags that I sort of hate them too.

There was a particular dip-dyed log last year (I see it has fallen off the collection now) that really was a log with some white paint on it. And it was £398. And try as I might I couldn’t see the point of that log. It wasn’t by a famous designer, there wasn’t any particular skill involved. It was just, well, a painted log.

Mind you, I say it has fallen off the collection, there appears to be a thistle stem for a similar price this year so they’re not entirely off the hook.

So while I have included some objects here that I think are gorgeous I also wanted to share this Tumblr post with you all. I found it last week and it made me laugh then and is still making me chuckle now. So Anthropologie, because we love to hate you, just read this because it should raise a giggle on a Sunday. It’s by Liz Galvao and is from her blog LG Tumbledown

And, in the meantime, we can all sigh over this rather gorgeous reversible quilt made from silk and cotton costing £298 (it is byootiful) and this crockery which would look gorgeous on my table with some figs resting in it. I think it’s probably a bit too posh for the old common or garden apple. Prices start at £22 (and go up to £78).

And I still love these iron pendant lights which start at £198 and go up to £248 and would totally only work in a group so you need them all. See hate them again…
