The Collection by Argos

Well if you’ve read the headline then yes, it really is. When this email fell out of my inbox I thought it would be high street but sort of “high” high street, if you see what I mean. And I’m sure the store wouldn’t mind if I said I was staggered when I realised where it was actually from. It’s called The Collection by Argos.

It’s true the high street has been forced to raise its game, and you can find hidden treasures in most places now but, be honest, how many of us thought of going to Argos for bedding that isn’t kid-branded, or even adult beds for that matter? This is why I wanted you to see it. Now you might have to hunt about a bit to find the good stuff but at least you know it’s there.

And there’s another good thing too – for £3.95 you can have same day delivery (not on the really big stuff like beds but on small items) or you can go and collect it from your nearest store while they will give you next day delivery from £8.95 on the large things like beds, which means you’ve got to be pretty organised getting rid of the old one before you start ordering.

The rose gold bed is £249.99 for a kingsize and £199 for a single. It’s a great place to look for beds and bedding, cushions – because it’s good to have a selection that you can change round – and some lights. There are over 1,500 pieces in the collection though so make sure you have time to have a good old rummage.

A word of advice – some of the pieces in these images are from Habitat (the silver side table) and Heart of House (the large mirror) so it’s not all the Argos Collection you see but I reckon there’s enough to make it work a virtual visit. Come back tomorrow to find out about an exclusive new collection that has just launched at the top end of the high street.

  1. The duvet sets in Meadow Sprigs design would go very well with the delicate Hannah Nunn wallpapers.

  2. Sainsbury’s have bought Argos and Habitat recently.
I work at SB so very soon now I can get staff discount in both of these places as well, yeah! Only no Habitat stores up north, I believe.
Love the bedding with the birds on. Shame as I’ve just bought new bedding and matching curtains last week, in grey! The rose gold bed is very nice also.
I’ll have to check out their websites now.

  3. Shame I don’t live in England anymore! I am as stunned as you are, the last time I lived in the UK, Argos was a tacky catalogue. Now I knew things had progressed hugely from those days because our daughter at Uni shops at ARgos, I have shopped there with her, a mountainous affair usually involving two trolleys overloaded, when Mum is there paying, then load up, right! But this collection looks amazing.
