We’re going a little more traditional this week with this gorgeous Georgian house in the Cotswolds. It has been completely modernised by the current owners; Julian Dunkerton, the co-founder of the cult clothing company, Superdry so it has a contemporary twist on the traditional property.

It’s Grade II listed and has seven bedrooms, four bathrooms and four reception rooms as well as an infinity swimming pool, tennis court and sauna. There are also lots of outbuildings should you feel the need to create more accommodation.

Dunkerton, whose main role at Superdry is to check all the details and aesthetics, gave an interview to The Sunday Times saying that he has upgraded every single thing in the house and given every space a reason.

The floorboards are all wide, dark oak and the spaces are large and open with exposed brick and lots (and lots) of Farrow and Ball paint.

I love the simplicity of this bedroom with its huge brass bed and very little else. That appeals to my feeling that bedrooms should have as little in them as possible, although for most of us that’s an impossible luxury and if we’re assuming that this vast cavernous space below is the ensuite then heaven only knows how big the dressing room is.

It’s on the market with Knight Frank for £6.5m if you fancy it, he’s moving next door to Dowdeswell Court, for which this house is the former Dower house.
