If you don’t like metal frames (and for me they are slightly reminiscent of boarding school) this wooden one should fit the bill. A great single bed with storage underneath which also pulls out to be double bed and, if they can ever be bothered to make it, will double up as a perfectly good sofa when friends come round. And it’s from those awfully clever Swedish people which means it’s very affordable.
