Hear that sound? That sort of rattling and clinking sound? That is the sound of me breaking out of my comfort zone. It’s not something I do very often and is definitely something I should do more of. And it came about because of a curved sofa like this. I have a friend (well I like to think I have several actually but that’s beside the point) who freed me.

Now this friend, who is in the middle of a mahoosive house renovation, said to me that she rather fancied a pair of curved sofas for her sitting room. I did that kind of side eye thing while nodding vigorously in a fabulous-idea-why-didn’t-I-think-of that kind of way and privately thinking “help”.

I don’t know why I thought that. As I say comfort zones and all that. Anyway, I resolved to completely ignore her if she was intent on such a foolish errand. I would help her with lights and rugs and beds and stuff but she would have to find her own folly that was the curved sofa.

And then I started looking. And almost immediately I found two. And I love them. And now I want a curved sofa. I mean I need a room to put them in first, but suddenly they are making all the L-shaped modular sofas look clumsy and ungainly. These are cocktail sofas for fabulous sitting rooms. Well, for houses with one sitting room and one family room perhaps.

But oh this is the new fantasy sofa. And, appropriately for such a fancy piece it comes only in gold, grey, ivory and black. I mean.. and before you start I don’t want to hear any of that practical stuff. Not today. The world is being a bit rubbish at the moment, allow me my fantasy moment. And while we’re on the subject why don’t you all share your fantasy furniture below. Until I found this mine was a dumb waiter running between kitchen and bedroom. Oh and a laundry chute. Both of which are quite dull in comparison to this I feel.

Not sure about the curved sofas but LOVE the paint colour in the last picture – anyone have any ideas as to what it might be?

Fabulous and luxurious style sofa’s, can anybody tell me where I can purchase the mirror-top tables in the first photo? They would go splendidly with my console table…

    Many Thanks

I have a curved sofa. I love it. The lounge/dining is long and thin with a kitchen off to the side, and the curved sofa allows me to zone sitting room from the dining space without bumping into the harsh corners of a rectangular sofa. I’m a big fan of a curvy sofa.

I guess I was expecting it from the title to be more curved than it is. It looks nice though! I feel it would fit in some otherwise difficult rooms.

Noooooooooo. Ugly, vulgar looking things. Not sure what I DO want as my new sofa, but I certainly know one more type I don’t want!

Looooove ’em both. The color scheme on the second picture is dreamy: grey and old gold.

LOVE the curved sofa – SO dramatic! And one can sit 3 easily, for tea, a cafe klatch, and a cozy chat.☕

Gone with the straight lines, in with the curves ;p. I just read something about curved sofas on another blog about how popular they are getting. I still like the L shaped sofas though :$… I do like the look of the gold one but to me it’s missing a back 🙂

We have a pale pink suede sofa. With two cats. And currently, no children. The cats are bad enough but I know when the patter of tiny feet happens, the sofa will be relegated. Until then, joy. Utter, utter joy.

Love love love the gold one. Just the way it alters the dynamic of the room is amazing. It looks like you’d just ooze into a melting puddle of liquid loveliness the second you sit down!,

Stunning. But highly impractical. How many people can actually sit on it. Just one comfortabley?
