Five of the best Noticeboards and Wall Planners

Now I don’t know about you but these days I find it hard to operate without a list. I like the making of the list as much of the doing of the list and am one of those people who write things on the list that they have already done simply for the pleasure of being able to cross something off straight away. No, it’s not cheating. It brings an instant sense of accomplishment. And I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who does that now am I?

So, first thing on the list. Happy New Year Year Everyone. See one thing done already. I would also like to thank you all so much for your kind messages of support and for reading these pages over the last five years. As we start the sixth year of The Mad House together, which will be marked in March with the book of the same name, I’m delighted to welcome readers old and new.

Now back to those lists. I adore stationery in all forms and never leave the house without a notebook and pen. I never leave a stationery shop without a new version of at least one or the other and am determined, this year, to keep my studio organised so that I can look my accountant in the eye when he demands all those bits of paper and also not have to carry such a huge mental rolodex round in my head of all the things I am supposed to do and places I am supposed to be.

With that in mind, today I have done a small round up of planners and noticeboards. Whether you prefer to write lists on walls, or pin bits of paper to boards or write things down and highlight them with stickers there’s something for everyone here.

Also, as it’s the first day back at work for many of us let’s spend it thinking about being organised and even beginning to get organised. We can do some of the actual work that we plan today tomorrow can’t we? There’s no need to RUSH at it all today. After all, I’m pretty sure it will still be there tomorrow so why not grab a cup of coffee and let’s spend today planning the planning.

Now does that sound like a plan to you? At this rate we’ll be so organised by Thursday we’ll be able to take Friday off. And a three day week to start the year sounds like an accomplishment to me.
