Gorgeous Bathroom Accessories

So there we were moaning about how long January was taking – especially those on the no booze, no meat, no spending, no fun, end of the spectrum when poof it was over. I’m assuming you’ll all be rolling in the aisles tonight drinking wine, eating chicken and, just in case you have freed up the credit cards and fancy a little treat to get you started, a little spot of shopping/browsing. And I thought you might like to see these rather gorgeous bathroom accessories from Rowen & Wren.

They’re not arriving till the end of February, which is even better because you can order them now and get the spending thrill after a month of abstinence, but, possibly, not even have to pay for them until you reach the next pay day. Enabler? Moi? Listen, it’s more practical than shoes.

Or is it?

Anyway, you can choose from the whole Bilton range of towel rails and rack, soap dishes and mirrors, trays and toothbrush holders and they come in either a brushed brass finish, a sort of black iron or a silver shade. And I’m just going to hurl this out there (and stand well back)  and say that there has been a lot of brass around recently  and that maybe silver/chrome/nickel is about to stand up and be counted again.

Yes I did say I was standing back. What would I choose? Well I have no brass. I seem to have missed that one, but I am about to buy a new kitchen tap and I think it’s going to be black. I haven’t told the Mad Husband that yet though so don’t count on seeing it on the instagram any time soon.

So personally I would be tempted to have either the black or the silver to go with what I already have. But the brass is lovely and, when it’s this dark and this brushed (ie not all shiny and modern looking) then that goes with silver and black anyway. You can totally mix your metallics so don’t worry about that.

So there you go. You can be cool and clean in February.

Now I don’t know how many of follow me on instagram but if you do you will know that yesterday I was dressing a window at Heals (the Tottenham Court Road flagship store this time) and I am about to put some pictures of that up of that. There will be a post next week telling you all about the range of furniture I used which is perfect for compact living with a slightly industrial vibe.

Right, off to a client’s house today, I’ll see you back here tomorrow.

  1. “you can totally mix your metallics” I’ve always seen one or the other, never mixed especially in bathroom mags. If you see any images of these being used together in bathrooms for example or if you have any please show them, maybe on Instagram. I am finding it hard to picture them. x

  2. Gorgeous! I actually like the idea of using the glass shelf in my kitchen for my herbs/spices! The brass would go with my kitchen cupboard ‘cup’ handles or the black would match my sockets and mug hanging rails- brilliant! Thanks Kate…..
