If You Buy One Thing: Recycled Glass Vase

Now that the clocks have gone forward and we’ve all recovered from that missing hour (how can that be so hard?) the longer days and burgeoning blossom is making me desperate to bring a little of the outside in. Especially as it’s not quite warm enough (at the time of writing) to go from inside to out without a jumper, and possibly a coat, on.

Now while I love a faux plant – mostly because I’m not very good at keeping the real ones alive – I don’t love a false flower and prefer to buy the real thing where possible. Which means vases. I have a few. Could always do with a few more. These are gorgeous. Very simple and made from recycled glass. The tall one is particularly good for this time of year when you might want to bring in a tall branch of forsythia or cherry blossom and in the autumn when a few twigs with their coppery leaves still attached looks so pretty.

These are from Rowen and Wren and start at £40

  1. I currently have a display of three recycled ‘speciality’ gin bottles on my kitchen table, removing the labels was a bit of a struggle (they seem to be attaching them with super glue these days) but drinking the gin was very easy… They look pretty good even if I say so myself and still cost less than £40 each 😉
