Jimbob Art Plates

It is a mystery to me why I don’t already own some of these plates. They are by James Ward, aka Jimbobart, and he designs these gorgeous ceramics in his east London studio and they are fired in Stoke on Trent. The top images features some of his new range including the Cheese Defender, cousin of the Cake Defender who is pictured below from an earlier range.

The only problem is which to choose? They are side plates measuring 20cm in diameter and will fit perfectly well with the existing white crockery. They cost £25 and are dishwasher safe which is good but these are definitely plates for using.

Perhaps I’ll just have to buy all eight and pass them off as a vital expense for the loft. I mean, do I really need a tap on the bath?

And, in a little update, that’s why I like re-running the highlights in August because that has reminded me that I still don’t own these plates. And I like them just as much as I did when I first posted them. So I really must just get that credit card.

  1. Thanks for this blog. Love the plates and have ordered some for father’s day – my dad is a big biscuit nibbler, I’m sure he’ll be chuffed he has his own plate for his guilty habit!!

  2. Yes, I think, ditch the tap, go the plates! I mean, really – how many taps does one need?
Seriously, they do look very good.
