Get The Look … Industrial Style with a Hint of Pink

Pottering about the web last week I discovered the fabulous apartments of Paola Navone and Vanessa Bruno which I shared with you on these pages. Further meandering let me to Barcelona where I found this gorgeous home which I’m sure you will love as much as I do. It’s industrial with a hint of pink.

Located in a formerly industrial area just outside Barcelona, the designer referenced the building’s history by leaving exposed bricks and beams. The pink table is from Ikea and costs £10 and you can buy a sheepskin cushion here

Exposed white bricks is another of my favourite design details and throw in a design classic Tolix chair and I’m yours. You’ll have to hunt about the vintage sites to find a real one.

Regular readers will know that my own kitchen has a stainless steel worktop, although mine isn’t as thick (or as shiny) as this one. Try Idyll Home for an industrial style pendant light.

A mezzanine level, another of my favourite ideas, was added to create a master bedroom suite.

It has been a little over styled with the co-ordinating clothes left “artfully” lying around and there is never, ever, an excuse for pink crocs, but if you remove all that, it’s a beautiful sleeping space.

I’ve been looking for a vintage white radio like the one in the picture below for ages. Do let me know if any of you find one.

Imagine being the little girl who gets to sleep in this room with its dark grey painted bricks contrasted with the flowery duvet cover. I’m not normally a fan of florals but mixing them with a harder edge is, for me, the way to pull it off. You can pick up a similar cushion from etsy

pink and industrial details make the perfect pairing

Finally the sitting room, where I think the pink tables are a touch too far but I love the rest of it. Have you ever heard that saying by Coco Chanel (see her house here) that “when accessorising always take off the last thing you put on”. I think sums up this house perfectly. What do you think?

For a similar sofa try the New York Collection from Graham and Green which comes in a variety of colours and Amara do a similar pink throw.
