Mad About Your House: Personal Shopping for the Home

Mad About Your House, the new business venture from madaboutthehouse.com
Mad About Your Housethe new business venture from madaboutthehouse.com

So today’s post is all about me. Or actually it’s all about you.

The blog is two years old now and it felt like it was time to take things a stage further. So Mad About YOUR House was born. You can read all about it here, but in essence it’s a personal shopping site for interiors.

There’s a little button that I put on the blog up there to the right but I wasn’t sure anyone had actually noticed, so today I decided to shout about it. And here I am, shouting.

The blog has become a valued sourcebook for many and I am constantly being asked for advice about where to buy things and even how to style your homes. It seemed to me that while Pinterest is a fantastic resource for inspiration, ideas and images, very often it doesn’t tell you where to buy the pieces you have found. That’s how I can help.

If you want help to shop your pinterest board, or perhaps some ideas for specific products and where to buy them or maybe you want a personal consultation with some styling ideas, shopping suggestions thrown in then why not get in touch?

I’ll leave you to read all about it on the new site, which has been beautifully designed by Yeshen Venema, who brilliantly didn’t shout at me even once when I couldn’t remember my passwords, hadn’t installed my analytics and didn’t know what he was talking about half the time. Not even by the teensiest raise of an eyebrow did he betray a hint of impatience. Or course, I can’t vouch for what happened after I left…

Anyway, I think it’s a beautiful site and a great new venture. To paraphrase the V&A: Mad About Your House: an ace blog with a business attached.

Dare I say; Let me know what you think ….?

  1. A fabulous idea – I’m an avid reader of your daily posts and you certainly know how to lead us into temptation!

Over the last year I’ve lost countless hours to googling to try and find the things I’m looking for so am quite sure this new venture will appeal to many. Best of luck with it!

  2. Congratulations on the new venture Kate! I always look to your blog and Pinterest for inspiration, so don’t doubt it will be very successful.

    All the best!
