Objects Of Design #102: City Sunday Magazine Rack

Use the walls for storage to free up the floor

I’ve never been a huge fan of magazine racks. Partly because no-one can ever be bothered to empty them so the original item, which presumably you searched quite hard to find so that it was something you liked, and that fitted your style, often disappears completely under all the extra papers and magazines piled up beside, around and on top of it. Also, they do take up precious floor space which, unless you are the likes of Victoria Beckham, is always at a premium.

This, then, fits on the wall. That means, you will have to either empty it when it’s full, or buy another one and use it as modern and funky wall art.
