This lamp is called Mañana and we all know that, in much the same way that the children are excited for tomorrow on Christmas Eve, many of you will be excited for parties tomorrow night and so, for that reason, this light seemed appropriate.

Now I could also give you a whole load of guff about the end of the year and shining a light into the dark corners of the old year and resolving to improve this year. Or I could tell you simply that it was designed by Marie-Louise Gustafsson and started as a simple sketch of a stick figure before taking form as a lamp designed to lean against the wall.

The lamp shade, lacquered glossy white inside, which can adjust its gaze sideways is available from Hus and Hem. It’s controlled by a floor switch with a built in dimmer. It’s a bit like a cartoon come to life in a house isn’t it? What will you name yours?
