Objects of Design #122: Stik Clothes Tidy

Now I don’t know about you (and perhaps I am about to give too much away here) but I find that not everything I’ve worn goes into the laundry straight away. And yet, because I’m messy, probably, it doesn’t feel quite right to put it back in the wardrobe.

So it gets draped. Usually on a chair but, in the spirit of honesty, sometimes on the floor. You too? Yes I thought so. But this is where this thing comes in really handy.

The Stik is a corner tidy designed for clothes that are in between the wash, the wear and the wardrobe. Brilliant. This may be one of the most useful objects I have ever featured.

And for the cynics who are thinking it’s just a pole with rubber feet and some pegs on, yes it is. But it takes up a lot less room than that chair, which is so full of stuff you can’t actually sit on it. Or, when you do want to use it, you have to sweep all the clothes off and onto the floor.

Which brings us back to where we first started. With me saying that I would very much like one of these. Please.
