Now that summer is here (or at least at the time of writing the sky is a definite shade of blue) there’s nothing nicer than sitting outside of an evening with perhaps a glass of wine or even having supper outside on the balcony or in the garden.

But there’s no doubt that once the sun sinks it can be a little chilly and somehow the effort of moving back inside does tend to break the mood somewhat.

Firepits. That’s the solution. This one from Primrose (£89.95) is made from cast iron and steel and it comes with a cooking grill, a spark guard and a safety ring so for those of you with children or pets (although it’s late aren’t the small ones in bed yet?) that’s one less thing to worry about.

So fire it up, cook a little dinner and cluster round the embers with a last glass of something to take the chill off.

Happy Summer Days.
