Objects of Design #145: Glasses

I have never been one for fancy glasses. Not least because they’re so easily broken and they don’t go in the dishwasher. Mind you, if I’m completely honest, I’m not really one for fancy wine either. Give me a little tumbler of French vin de table any day, or a lightly frizzante Italian number and I’m happy.

So these glasses from Baileys Home and Garden fit my bill perfectly; short-stemmed wine glasses, “the best beer glass on the planet” and some small tumblers for wine or water.

Perfect for sitting round the kitchen table or carrying out to the garden. These glasses will go where no crystal dare to venture.

Prices start at £6.50 for the tumblers.

  1. I totally agree. Expensive glasses make me nervous. My dearest friends have fancy cut glasses, but they keep one cheap wine glass just for me!
Red wine in a tumbler is perfect, and the Baileys glasses are lovely.
