Objects Of Design #216: Handstitched Quilted Bedspread

pull up the covers

The first sign of winter is the ritual donning of the bedspread. This is 100 per cent cotton with a hand-stitched floral pattern and scalloped edging. Layer this over the duvet and cuddling up in bed with a book will seem very inviting indeed. Of course the trouble comes at 7am the next morning when you have to get out of said cosy bed and face those cold floorboards. Still, we’ll be coming to rugs later.
