Objects of Design #221: Paola Navone for Crate & Barrel

So there we were last week happily poking about Paola Navone’s apartment in Paris when next up, a tweet from Blog Tour LA alerts me to the fact that the great Italian designer has only gone and collaborated with Crate&Barrel.

So now we can all have a little bit of her style. Because they ship to the UK now you know. Now, as we’re focusing on lighting this month, I wanted to show you these first, but there are all sorts of other lovelies to be had. And frankly, if you’re going to pay postage from the US you might as well make it worth your while. In for a penny in for a pound and all that. Well a dollar anyway.

I have long been a fan of Paola Navone but what I love about this collaboration is that Crate & Barrel have chosen a proper designer. We are used to seeing high end fashion designers working with H&M and the like (you do know that Isabel Marant is coming up in November don’t you?) but too often our High Streets seem to think that we want a duvet cover designed by Colleen Rooney or sheets by Kylie.

The collection has a whopping 140 pieces in it  and includes furniture and textiles as well as the items shown above. I want it all.

  1. Just lovely. It just got better and better the more I scrolled. I have a place for those chairs.
