When I saw this light I suddenly understood what it is I look for in a table lamp. The answer is height. I have one very similar to this in silver and it’s absolutely my favourite lamp in the room. Of which there are six to choose from, I might add. And mine also stands against a dark grey wall which showcases everything perfectly doesn’t it?
This is from new-ish company Mia Fleur, whose tagline is “because life’s too short to be minimalist”. A statement with which I wholeheartedly agree. Although looking round this room, I do sometimes feel a little more minimalism wouldn’t go amiss.
Anyway, as usual I digress, Mia Fleur is run by mother and two daughter team Jacqui, Amelia and Holly. They sell quirky one off, vintage and British-made pieces with one criteria; they have to want to buy it themselves. Which, frankly, means it’s a small miracle there’s anything left on the site for the rest of us.
As all three of them have degrees in textiles, so their cushion collection is worth checking out as some of them are designed by the team. Another great plus is that everything is beautifully styled and photographed which makes a real difference to the shopping experience.
It’s a great place to browse for affordable presents (for any time of year).
