French Connection Homewares collection

I have never particularly been one for their clothes but show me a good table light or a rustic wooden bench and I’m in.

The colours are neutral, the textures are natural and it’s all very calm and restful.

This is the current collection, which you can, you know, actually buy at the moment. As opposed to the spring/summer 14 collection which was previewed the other day and isn’t in the shops yet.

But, call me old-fashioned, I rather like the idea of seeing something I love and knowing I can have it NOW, rather than having to wait for it to come to the shops.

Having said that, I can tell you that the new collection is more about lighting and will be sticking to an industrial vibe with a little of what they call Parisian bistro style thrown in. That means some soft colours; indigo, greys and tie-dye blues mixed with gunmetal, zinc and brass. If you like this, you’ll love that. But, as I say, you’ll have to wait a while …
