Objects Of Design #325: Loose Change Shelf

Handy hall storage
Handy hall storage

Another clever idea for hall storage. Given that most of us don’t have room for furniture, those bits of clutter often end up taking up precious space in the kitchen. This shelf might be the perfect solution; put it high so that anyone looking through the letterbox can’t see anything tempting, and, obviously so there’s room to hang coats and bags below. Then you can put the annoying bits of loose change in the curve so they’re easy to scoop up the next day. The dip also slightly shields the keys from view.

I’m not entirely convinced by the flower, think it would be more useful with a couple of pens in there myself, but it is, just about, up to you.
