Objects of Design #43: Aged Metal Bowl

It doesn’t matter how tidy you are, there are always those random bits of stuff that just end up lying around waiting to be filed, or put away or – worst of all – which have no obvious place to go.  This may have been designed as a fruit bowl but it would work just as well on a table as a repository for today’s post, those few coins, a couple of stamps, a plastic magnifying glass and a brochure for a hotel that no-one has any intention of going to… or at least that’s what a quick check of my large silver wooden tray reveals today. Son has just added his DS as he clearly can’t be bothered putting it away in its proper place, but at least the worktops are clear and everything is contained in one place.
