Objects of Design #57: Chirali Bedspread

I adore monochrome. And monochrome with a splash of gold? I might just fall over in delight. This gorgeous bedspread is part of the new collection from Toast and while it looks completely divine against the black and white floor tiles, which you probably haven’t got (no nor me), the grey stripy bedlinen to go with it is at least achievable.

It’s made from layers of recycled sari fabric quilted together and it does come in other colours, but this is the best. Made by an artisan co-operative it measures 200cm square so it should be big enough for everyone. This is definitely going on my wish list.
