As much as I love the idea of a simple trestle table or industrial trolley for a desk, I also know that I’m an inveterate hoarder. A creator of piles. A stuffer of drawers. As often as I tell you that you can operate with nothing but a simple table – yes I do work on the kitchen table – all that stuff has to go somewhere.
I have sought out, and found, fabulous wall storage, cabinets, beautiful shelves. But the simple fact is that you can’t beat a desk with drawers. And look at this one. Imagine the hours of fun arranging these.
And then rearranging them. And see the clever spaces for cables? And the multiple sizes? I love this desk. Is it, actually, the perfect storage desk?
It was made by portuguese designer Bruno Serrao and is correctly called the BS01 desk. It costs £5,885 from Furnie (I know, I know) but if you work from home and spend the best part of every day sitting at it then it’s not a bad investment. Particularly as it should hold almost the entire contents of your study, which means that if you don’t have a dedicated space it would sit happily sharing with the sitting room or spare room and not make the whole place look like an office.
I have my own office at home and I admit, it’s messy because sometimes, things are getting busy and I have no time to fix it anymore. This storage desk is a perfect idea and I thank you for sharing it here in your post. I know what to do now to make my things organize. Thanks for sharing.
