Small Buttonback Sofa

So the other day I was putting together a lookbook for a client and I came across this gorgeous little sofa which is just perfect for a bedroom so I thought I would share it here.

Whenever I visit a client’s house for a consultation I put together a detailed PDF lookbook afterwards which includes their colour palette, a reminder of all the things we have talked about and details of where to buy everything they want/need/require – these come at various price points so they can decide how to allocate their budget – and some images to illustrate the points we have made.

This particular client is adding a two storey extension to her cottage near Grantham and after we had been through the whole of the downstairs looking at everything she needed, we finished with her plans for the bedroom and dressing room.

She said she would like a small chair in the corner and it was while looking for that that I found this. It’s the perfect size and means that she can drape clothes over one end and sit on the other rather than having to move a whole pile of clothes to one side while she perches awkwardly on the side.

It’s 128 cm long and crucially only 91 deep so it will fit in her bedroom. I rather wish it would fit in mine. I might have to move things around a little to make space.

It’s from Primrose and Plum and costs £695. There’s a smaller one (65cm wide) for £495 if space is tighter or this if you really want a proper sitting chair.

  1. You can’t beat a cosy corner chair – we’re launching a handful of neat new styles this summer, including the Claude chair and loveseat: a perfect little button back number for bedrooms. (From £460)
