Two Fabulous Vases

Sometimes you just see something and you think how fabulous is that? I want it and I must have it. Well I haven’t quite added it to cart yet but I think it may be only a matter of time.

I’ve never really managed to buy the right pots for my (mostly fake) plants – some of which live in old bins and other handy receptacles which I find lying around. But these, these are so pretty that they will look good long after the plant has died which, let’s be honest here, is a strong possibility. Scrap that – it’s a probability.

These are 24cm high so they’re pretty sculptural as well. Now to find something equally striking to go in them. And yes they’re expensive. But they’re multi-tasking – looking good used or un-used – so I’m justifying it.

They’re £58 from Someday Designs. Or, if you want to hunt around it’s the Toppu Pot by Oyoy. There is a smaller black and grey one too but I haven’t found a UK stockist for that one.

  1. They sure are pretty vases! I tent to prefer plain designs, and love the second colour bloke vase.

I can’t suggest succulents enough if you would ever want to add some real plant life to your interiors. I have a few around my house, and sometimes I forget to water them for weeks. Even in the summer…. Thus far I’ve only killed one, but apparently it was a slightly tricky type of succulent to keep. The rest are going strong!

I also think a snake plant would look stunning in either of these vases. Plus, it would add even more height and flare!

  2. Love the teal vase and it would look great in my kitchen/diner but can I pay that for a small plant pot? Not if it is breakable as we have a slate floor.

  3. With huge respect, and not a little sympathy….seems to me that indoor, living plants are taking a real beating these daze. The important thing, very often, seems to be ‘how they look’….not necessarily ‘how, or if they’ll survive’ in the grand scheme of things. Fake plants, indeed, may sometimes be the kinder, better option for those who are light-hearted about their oft changing interior planting schemes :))
