New Shop Discovery: Curious Egg

Oh we do love to find a new shop here in The Mad House; it’s a well known fact that retail therapy is the cure for (nearly all) ills, so come with me now into the world of the Curious Egg, a hitherto undiscovered corner of the internet, selling all manner of deliciousness for your home from things to hang on the walls, to things to light said walls, things to sit on and things to put your food on.

Come browse with me and see what takes your fancy. Sometimes it’s just a little thing; like a new set of bowls that can provide an inverse amount of cheer relative to the cost.

Sometimes it’s something more expensive that makes your heart sing every time you look at it. Like this lamp which comes in warm brass or with this dark green patina.

There seems to come a point in all our lives when we are just as excited by the purchase of a new candlestick or cushion cover as we once were by a new top to wear out on Saturday night. And it’s perfectly possible to find something new for the house for the same price as a high street top these days.

So if, like me, the prospect of going out on a Saturday night is about as appealing as cold rice pudding (I’m all about Thursdays me) then you won’t need a new top, but a new candlestick or serving dish might just bring a whole new element of enjoyment to your evening in.
