Gilded Monogram Glass

As I said a few days ago, at this time of year, the normal rules of good tastes can be (slightly) suspended and you can have a bit more fun – anything to relieve the dark, dreary days. While I wouldn’t want to use these glasses every day of the year, I rather like the idea of busting them out in December to bring a little bit of glamour and glitz to the proceedings.

Now obviously being from Anthropologie, they’re not the cheapest glasses you’re ever going buy (all the more reason to use sparingly) but take a look at the close-up: each letter has a different pattern on it so they are a little bit special.

If your letter isn’t here then you can also look here for some slightly different ones which might make good presents too and there are lots of different options. Or, who doesn’t love a personalised mug – at any time of the year. This is from Unite and Type and you can choose three letters, the font and the colour for £35.
